Our ROLE
Bridging Practice, Research, and Policy
We connect practice, research, and policy to ensure that real farm experience informs public debate, advisory systems, and decision-making. We engage at both national and European levels, combining expert input with on-the-ground knowledge from farmers and Living Lab activities.
POLICY ENGAGEMENT & NETWORKS
We bring practical experience to agricultural policy debates
We bring experience from working with farms, along with insights from projects and research, into expert discussions. We want proposed measures to make sense in practice — not only on paper, but also in the day-to-day reality of farming businesses.
We take part in expert and focus groups of the Czech Ministry of Agriculture and work on topics such as soil protection, erosion, organic farming, precision agriculture, and sustainable farming practices.
We point out what works in practice, where farms run into problems, and which solutions can be simpler, more effective, and easier to apply.

EDUCATION & CAPACITY BUILDING
Strengthening Knowledge Across the Sector
Education is central to our mission. Team members Jan Trávníček and Adam Brezáni teach at Farmářská škola (Farmer School), working with future farmers and advisors on soil health, organic systems, climate resilience, and farm management.
In cooperation with Bioinstitut, we organize training seminars for organic farmers focused on arable production, carbon farming, and organic sector advocacy. More than 250 farmers participated in these seminars this year, strengthening long-term capacity within the agricultural sector.
Within the Czech Ministry of Agriculture’s demonstration farm network, we provide the expert programme on several farms across the country.

Creating Space for Dialogue
We regularly organize conferences, seminars, open field days, on-farm events, and practical workshops that bring together farmers, researchers, advisors, policymakers, and civil society. These activities reach more than 2,000 participants annually.
