Bringing together farmers, researchers, and policymakers, it co-creates practical innovations rooted in real-world organic practice.
ECO-READY is an ambitious four-year project funded by the Horizon Europe programme. Its goal is to strengthen the ecological resilience of the European food system against climate change, extreme weather events, and other external shocks. The project brings together 18 partners from 11 European countries and includes a network of 10 Living Labs that span all bioclimatic regions of Europe.

Project objectives
-
Real-time monitoring and early warning: Development of a central infrastructure – the Observatory – available as an e-platform and mobile application, providing up-to-date assessments of the food system and regularly updated forecasts.
-
Strengthening resilience and adaptation: Development of knowledge-based resilience strategies and development of decision-support tools, which will be part of the Observatory.
-
Increasing citizen engagement: Providing tools for the active involvement of European citizens in policy-making and interaction with the scientific community, farmers, industry and policy makers, which will support changes in consumer habits.
-
Policy support and advice: Development of policy recommendations and contingency plans based on scenarios and analyses, which will be integrated into the Observatory.
Organic Living Lab PROBIO
Organic Living Lab PROBIO tackles climate change, biodiversity loss, and food security by developing resilient organic farming solutions in one of the most challenging farming regions of the Czech Republic.

Czech Organics
Czech Organics s.r.o. is the consortium leader of LL PROBIO.
With experience in national-level policy work and farmer engagement, Czech Organics plays a key role in connecting organic producers, researchers, and institutions to advance climate-resilient strategies grounded in organic farming principles.

Ekofarma PROBIO
Ekofarma PROBIO is a long-established organic farm located in South Moravia.
Since 2018, it has served as a demonstration farm recognized by the Czech Ministry of Agriculture, hosting events that cover both crop and livestock systems, including spelt, alfalfa, crimson clover, buckwheat, and organic pigs. More than 1,000 participants have attended these demonstration events. The farm integrates soil conservation techniques, biodiversity-friendly practices, and IoT-based data collection to support the lab’s scenarios and educational outreach. Since 2024, the farm has been fully DEMETER certified.

PRO-BIO
PRO-BIO is one of the largest organic processors and distributors in the Czech Republic.
It supports the living lab through seed production, food processing, and its vast network of users, having worked with over 150 farmers. As a market-oriented partner, company contributes to testing the economic feasibility of the lab’s innovations and plays a key role in the communication and dissemination of project outcomes.
